Privacy Policy

Stenwyn is an app by NNtrSoftwr. The short version: everything you log stays on your phone.

What the app stores

Stenwyn saves your goal and start date, your reasons, your signed commitment, daily check-ins, urges and relapses you log, and your reminder and lock settings. All of it stays in the app's private storage on your phone. We never receive it, because Stenwyn has no servers and no accounts.

What we don't do

Stenwyn has no sign-up, no analytics, no tracking and no ads. We don't sell or share information, and the app doesn't send what you log over the internet.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase go through Google Play. Google handles payment details under the Google Privacy Policy. The app only learns the status of your purchase, such as whether a subscription is active, so it can unlock features. Google Play's billing library, which the app uses to talk to Google Play, may send technical diagnostics to Google under that same policy.

Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. Android asks your permission before the app can show notifications, and you can turn reminders off in the app or in Android settings.

App lock

If you set a PIN, the app keeps only a hashed form of it on the phone. If you unlock with your fingerprint or face, Android does the check, and the app never receives biometric data. While the lock is on, the app also hides its content from the recent apps screen.

Notifications

Reminder texts are neutral and never say what the app is about.

Device backup

Stenwyn opts out of Android cloud backup, so its data stays on this phone and is not restored on a new one.

Sensitive information

Some of what you log may be health information. Since it never leaves your phone, we have no way to access, use or disclose it.

Deleting your data

Use Settings > Erase all data in the app, or uninstall it. Uninstalling removes everything it stored on the phone.

Children

Stenwyn is meant for adults (18 and over) and is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
